UNITED NATIONS |SAY IT WITH FLOWERS

It’s April of 2020. The pandemic is quickly spreading to every country. In those unsettling times, we all could benefit from the warmth and vibrancy of flowers to lift our spirits. Based on the meaning and symbolism of flowers, a universal language, I created a series of e-cards to send kind and positive messages to friends, family, the world.

You could send OPTIMISM with CHRYSANTHEMUMS

FRIENDSHIP with ALSTROEMERIAS

COMPASSION with PEONIES

COURAGE with PROTEAS

WARMTH with SUNFLOWERS… The messages are endless.

HOW DOES IT WORK

> The imagery is created using public domain botanical illustrations (from the Biodiversity Heritage Library’s albums) and then, some emojis.

> The United Nations “Kind Flowers” page on Facebook hosts the collection of e-cards and renews them weekly.

> Each card has 3 different text lines to choose from, from heartfelt to a more light-hearted tone.

> The text is translated into different languages.
